From what I’ve see it seems like repetitive movement injuries are worse in clients who are otherwise sedentary, or who aren’t doing much with other movement patterns in the same area. So someone doing that job might be fine if they were, say, doing yoga or Pilates that required lots of torso rotation and such, but not so much if they sit on the couch when they aren’t at work. But that’s just observational.
I had a 19 year old grocery cashier client with the exact same situation a couple of years ago. Definitely the repetitive movement is involved.

that matches this client somewhat. he does go hiking, and says when he's hiking zero pain.
otherwise he doesn't do much else.
