Let’s talk about warming up

I warm up different than most people, mostly because I come from the performance world

How do I know my warm ups are different?

  1. When I go to the gym I don’t see anyone else doing what I’m doing.

  2. When i’m in the clinic, no other PTs are doing what i’m doing

  3. When I explain the specific warm up process to students/new grads, they tell me it’s a concept they’ve never heard before

The specific concept is call the RAMP Warm Up

  • Raise body temp

  • Activate and Mobilize

  • Potentiation

Let’s briefly talk about each and i’ll give an example so you can see optimal vs practical
