People think Kobra and I are both Physical Therapists (PTs), but that is not true.
Kobra is actually an Athletic Trainer (AT) by education. We both have a lot of overlap, but it’s the extremes that make us different
And Complementary
Love what we do? Have we helped you get over an injury? Say thanks by upgrading to a paid subscription, get access to our Mobility Program and additional rehab protocols valued at over $300
Sure, a PT could be trained to be an AT, and vice versa. There are a lot of dual AT/PT’s in pro sports (for practical and not practical reasons)
Regardless, one of Kobra’s specialties is dealing with an injury
right when it happens
Wild stuff can happen in sports, especially in contact sports, so you have to be prepared for the worst case scenario
People think broken bones, torn ligaments, dislocations, but that’s all mild stuff for Kobra.
Worse case would be head injuries and loss of consciousness… you know, things that you can actually die from.
He’s taken the mild (to him) stuff and put it into a guide.
In reality the first few posts we put out were break outs of our Acute Guide so you know what to do when you have a fresh injury dealing with
the shoulder
neck
back
etc
The guide is a free resource for paid subscribers.
Always good to have in your pocket for when you are hurt.
Especially helpful when you’re at a kid’s sporting event, which often doesn’t have AT coverage or any of the coaches have the appropriate training.
