… stop sitting so much…?

People complain me to all the time.

“My posture isn’t that great”

Then when I ask “what’s your posture suppose to be?” answers range from “I don’t know” to “stiff as a board all the time” since there’s no objective criteria for posture other than…

You can complete the task you need to complete.

This is the posture mistake I see all the time. Read here about how perfect is the enemy of good.

If you are actually scared you are sitting to much, two things you can do:

  1. Stop being a baby - sitting is NOT scary

  2. Fucking get up!

Of course I can’t make fun of you without giving you some type of solution, so here’s 3 my fav exercises so you actually have something to do when you do get up.

#1 Wide Stance Rotation

Something will probably crack. That’s okay. Get your feet as wide as you can.

#2 Squat and Reach

The goal is to sit deep and have your torso as vertical as possible, so I’d rather you elevate you heels on something like the pic below. Or you can just kneel on one leg

for a more upright posture
elevated heels improve this exercise

#4 Bear to Thoracic Bridge

This is a favorite, it gets all the nooks and crannies, and something may crack.

Summary

Yes I called you a scaredy cat and cussed at you, but it’s from a place of love. Stop complaining about sitting and start doing something about it.

We have an entire mobility program I’ve been using to correct posture mistakes for years. It’s a free benefit for those that sign up for the Substack.
